Megyer residential park
Gallery
The location of Megyer Residential Park is the area enclosed by Megyeri út, Szilaspatak sor, Szabolcska Mihály utca and Névtelen utca. By demolishing a previous construction built without permission, it became possible to create a new residential project. The development’s framework was included in the general and regulation plan created by our studio in April 2000. This plan entails a G+3 individual building on the shorter end of the property connecting to Megyeri út. The plot widens as we recede from Megyeri út. Here we visioned a snake-like building, with increasingly deeper dead-end bays, which is stretched to the connecting side streets. This built-in resulted in rhythmically repeated elements toward both bounding streets, while it surrounds pleasantly scaled inner courtyards with its typically G+2-storey mass. The snake-like building mass is divided by pedestrian ground floor passages in certain places. The buildings are deliberately lightsome and Mediterranean, as well as their layout which is a unique mixture of apartments arranged along hanging corridors and landings. The applied architectural layout system is simple but effective as the colours and changes of the surfaces and the terraces and topmost parapets playful design.
