Váci Road 173 — Green Office Description

After the year 2000, Váci Road in District XVIII changed into the office building axis of Budapest. One of its elements is the office building at number 173. When designing this we applied a non-standard setup, which resolves the disadvantages of short street front along the depth of the plot. Accordingly we placed two different masses on the connecting fire walls and, with a more robust opening, we created between these two the covered-open entrance for the two functional units defined in the program. With the opening we tried to make sure the building does not interrupt the closed-row character, but becomes the distinctive, pronounced point of it, where from the busy Váci Road a path with green surface, water and enlarged with opened public area, leads to the inner quiet life of the office building. During design we assumed Unicredit Bank as the main tenant and this is visible in the formulation of many elements. The G+6-storey building is complemented by a three-level basement and several roof terraces. In terms of facilities and technical solutions we focused on high standards and environmentally-conscious construction. / e.g.: Breeam platinum rating /
