Our task was to design high-end apartments on the Buda bank of the Danube in the neighbourhood of the residential buildings of the former gasworks in a quiet environment with old trees, close to the City Center. Four buildings were constructed in high quality, each with nine to ten apartments. All the apartments offer central cooling, high-standard machine-equipped kitchens, as well as finishes according to individual needs. Parking spaces are provided for one and a half times the total number of apartments. Other materials like stone, plaster, the wooden openings and pergola and the roof terraces complete and tame the shapes and material-use, reflecting the industrial flavours of the gasworks. An interesting fact about the construction is that originally the plot blocked the Danube bank promenade planned by the City. With our cooperation an agreement was made, whereby the investor transfers the right of use of the promenade area to the City.
