The task was to create a main building for a new university that was established as a result of Graphisoft Parks’ owner/founder’s philosophy which aims to retain Hungarian intellectualvalues in the country and utilizes its worth. The buildings of the new university are located in the functionally diverse, turn-of-the-century industrial buildings of the former gasworks. So, the main question was the relationship and coexistence of new and old architecture. We triedto create a modern, fun and inspiring university environment with maximizing thepresentation of the spaces, structures and values of the old, industrial crane building. Our planwas not accepted. The building has been renovated since.
